Type: Flavoured Green Tea: an extravagant blend of green tea with dried goji berries, açai berry powder, rosehip, apple and raspberry pieces, and hibiscus flowers. Both goji berries and açai berries are sought after for their high levels of AOX compounds.
Dry appearance: a pot pourri of green tea leaves plus orange and red fruit pieces. The dry aroma is a veritable explosion of tropical fruits on opening the pouch.
Infusion – visual: green leaf well expanded dotted with plumped up fruit pieces
Infusion – aroma: intensely fruity with a heady warmly perfumed note of tropical fruits.
Liquor – visual: a very attractive dusky rose pink colour- bright as a new penny
Liquor – taste: a very pleasant and well balanced sweet tropical fruity taste with just a background hint of tea.
Summary: Surprisingly the liquor taste is not overpowered by the aroma as might have been expected from the dry leaf impact. This is a real summery tea – refreshing when drunk hot – and promises to deliver well as an iced tea.
Brewing Advice: One level teaspoon per mug. Add fresh hot but not boiling water (80ºC), steep for two minutes.
