From a small family farm in Phongsaly, Laos. Grown at an altittude of 1200-1600 meters.
Dark brown tightly curled leaves hot through with gold tips.
First steep has a wonderful aroma. It is bright, clear red brown liquor. With a hint of spice on the nose. The mouth feel is fantastic. With a sweet forward note which gives way to a nutty mellow taste very much like good quality marzipan, and ends with an astringent note.
The second steep, is less sweet and more apricot kernal than almond. with a little more astringency.
The third is tobacco and ramps up the astringency and mouth feel.
definitely a tea to play with on temps and times, and try cold brewed.
